Privacy Policy

Creators Dept is operated by Campbell Creative Co LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as Creators Dept (“Creators Dept”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the Creators Dept app and creatorsdept.app collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers agencies and freelancers who use the app (“customers”), their team members, and the clients they invite to their Client Partner Portal (“partners”).
What we collect
- Account details: names, email addresses, phone numbers, titles, profile photos, links and passwords (stored only as secure hashes).
- Business content you add: partners and their contacts, proposals, agreements and signatures, payment records, photos, videos and files, captions, comments, requests, brand material and notes.
- Signing records: when a document is viewed and signed, with the IP address and browser, to provide an audit trail.
- Usage and device information: basic logs (pages requested, times, IP address, browser) used to keep the service secure and working.
- Waitlist and community sign-ups: the details you submit on creatorsdept.app.
- Information from services you connect: when you connect an account such as Google, the data that service shares with your permission (see “Google user data” below).
How we use it
To provide and secure the app; to send the emails you ask the app to send (proposals, invites, sign-in links, reminders); to show your partners their portal; to draft captions and brand-voice suggestions when you ask; to support you; and to improve the app. We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use your content to advertise to you or anyone else.
AI features
When you ask the app to draft a caption or build a brand voice, the relevant content (such as a photo, a brief and brand material) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the draft. It is used to provide that feature, not to train public models.
Google user data
If you connect a Google account, we access only what the features you use need (for example your calendar availability to offer booking times, events you create through the app, or sending email from your Gmail at your request). We use this data only to provide those features to you. Creators Dept’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or let people read it except with your permission, for security, or as required by law. You can disconnect Google at any time from your profile or your Google account settings.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run the app for us, under agreements to protect the data: Railway (hosting), Cloudflare (file storage), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payments; card details go directly to Stripe), Anthropic (AI drafts) and Google (if you connect it). We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer. Each customer’s data is kept separate from other customers.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account is active. Customers can delete content and partners in the app, and can ask us to delete their account and data. We remove deleted data from active systems promptly and from backups on their normal schedule. Signed agreements may be kept as long as the customer chooses, because they are legal records.
Security
We use encryption in transit, private file storage with short-lived links, hashed passwords, per-customer separation and access controls for team members. No system is perfectly secure; please tell us right away if you suspect a problem.
Your choices and rights
You can access and update your profile in the app, and ask us for a copy of your data or to delete it. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Partners whose information was added by an agency should contact that agency first; we’ll help them respond.
Children
The app is for businesses and is not meant for children under 16.
Changes and contact
We’ll post changes here and update the date above; if they’re significant, we’ll let customers know. Questions or requests: pete@creatorsdept.com.
